Welcome to the 2026 Manningtree Town Regatta

This year's Regatta is set for Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd August

It will be a special one , marking the 90th Anniversary of Stour Sailing Club and the 180th Anniversary of the first local Regatta that we have a record of back in 1846.

There will be sailing races, rowing and other activities on the water on both days, including some opportunities to 'have a go'.

The traditional Regatta Fireworks are booked for the Saturday evening - lighting up the estuary viewed from the Town Beach or along the Walls.

On Sunday morning Neptune will pay us a visit to oversea the mud sports and the children's beach takeover, and of course to make sure that the tide comes in for the afternoon's racing.

There will be the race across the estuary and back with categories for under 16's, women and men. It is a great experience and definitely tougher than it looks, so gaffer tape those trainers on and come and have a go!

And who could miss the Tug of War held across the hard and closely contested by both men's and women's teams from local businesses, community groups and sport clubs.

On the water, High Tide is just before 3pm on Saturday and around 3:30pm on Sunday. Racing and other activity on the water will take place from around 1pm on Saturday 1st with the fireworks when it is dark enough (provisionally 9.30 pm). On Sunday 2nd the mud sports will take place from 9:30am with on the water activities from around 2pm.

On both days refreshments will be available from the Marquee. Come and join in the fun.
