This week started with quite a lengthy blog of all the recent events past and coming, so without going into to much detail,

First leg of the curry cruise is off to a windy start to Levington Marina on the first leg of this auspicious event. Supper at HPYC lightship

Tonight, at Manningtree Clubhouse , Friday, if your available the bar is looking for a trained authorised volunteer for the 6pm till 9pm shift, confirm to Richard should you be available.

Saturday, 2nd leg of the curry cruise onto Ipswich Haven within the dock basin, supper will be at the Zaika at 6pm for those booked and some are driving down.

At Home, the Commencement of the Micro Worlds Championships, 2 days of racing off Mistley while the tide lasts then off to the Shanty festival at Harwich, I believe they are ?!!

Sunday, Lunchtime bar opening doesn’t show any volunteers hopefully someone can take the reins and please advise Richard accordingly. During the day will see the return of our mariners from their voyage of unexplored territories in the other county of Suffolk. Hopefully, they will have lots of hot gossip to share and tell.

Our Rowers are also away so there may be a big gap in the compound on Sunday , there off for the second event in the Harker’s yard series at Rowhedge good luck to them and all the crews.

We will be advising on a couple of policy updates in the next week these are important. These may not affect you personally, but you need to be aware of the changes in the policies as members of the club.

These will come out under separate individual cover.

Still, no one has come forward on the model boat and the attached ashes . These will need to be disposed of soon and the ashes will be given a civil dispersion into the river as hopefully they were originally intended on an outgoing tide.

This week sees the coffee and cake morning on Wed returning to an inside venue at the bar lounge area, same kick off time at 10.00 as normal.

Sat 4th its anticipated having a laying up and fireworks bangers and mash night this will go out on the boards for availability but mainly its also about assistance and volunteers. I will see what the demand is and will work round that for next week or so. S o what ch your e mails for updates and how to book a slot for numbers
