“Thames Barges”
This illustrated talk will be given by Stephen Nunn, Antiquarian Researcher from Maldon the home of Thames Barges. This talk fits in well with Lighters that plied their trade on the River Stour and transferred their loads to and from these barges for seagoing travel.
The event is open to all Trust members and their guests and will take place at RST HQ the Granary in Sudbury. Doors open at 6pm, with optional pre-ordered Fish & Chip supper at 7pm, followed by the 1 hour talk at approx. 8pm. The Granary Riverside Bar will be open during this event (RST members prices).
The food must be prebooked and paid for IN CASH on the night. The closing date for food is Thursday 20th February at 12 noon. Anyone cancelling food after this date will be charged.
Capacity is limited so if you wish to book attendance (for a group of no more than 6 people), please complete the booking form (or email events@riverstourtrust.org with attendees and food orders).
