I trust your all well, out of dry January and forgotten by now of all those other New year commitments that we promised so much to fulfill for the year ?
So, quick updates rather than blogs ive put out some notices where applicable so I shall not reiterate on those that have been and gone but only to say the events and activities have gone well and were well supported.
Coming up then, Friday night Bar sessions all still going strong and would be good to see some new faces behind the bar on these occasions to allow our regular bar people to also have an non workable enjoyable evening from the other side.
Tonight, we have Richard M, doing the duties once again who will be pleased to serve you.
Saturday morning the Cruising members are getting together at the club for a meeting to discuss program of sailing cruising events and visits etc for the year 10.00am for coffee if your interested, or contact David Lodge 07725560052
Coffee and cake coming up on 21st Feb to be fair we couldn’t let it clash with Valentines day and proceeds will go to support the 200th centenary anniversary of the local RNLI.
Fri 23rd Feb Richards running another games night extravaganza by popular request with an opening time of 6.00pm for a 6.30 start time. Cribbage being the most popular option so if your a fan or not, stop by and join in the fun.
New tide tables and haven yacht guides are in the parlour and behind the bar for your collection when you feel the need.
Boat lift In 23rd 24th April notification has been put out on the notice boards more details to follow once Will and Kelvin have prepared the rota schedule with our crane personnel.
Special announcement that we have had 2 volunteers to join this Committee to liven up the activities of our water based activity’s this year. As Co-opted members they will be taking on the Sailing Secretary’s roles previously held by Evie Roberts who has had to retire the position prior to Christmas. so with immediate effect David Lodge will be looking after the cruising elements and Ed Evans will be looking at reinstating a healthy fleet for the racing activities with a super dynamic program anticipated for the forth coming season. Their contact details and e mail address will be made available in due course.
We all appreciate the new enthusiasm and i hope you will support them in the events etc that they have planned for you the members to participate or ether to assist in some shape or form.
The AGM has been set at the Red Lion upstairs in South St start 19.30 pm 25th March 2024 details minutes and accounts will also be made available in due course
This years regatta date has had to be slightly changed to accommodate the tides this now confirmed and to be 10th 11th August 2024 .

There is also some exciting challenges outside sailing with the England playing Wales in the Six Nations.
Bound to be challenging competitve tactical physical and a game not to be missed.
