Rowing Secretary
The Role of Rowing Secretary has always been a non Committee Role and the communication between the Rowing Sub Committee and the Management Committee has always been by the Rear Commodore (Caroline Cunningham).
The Committee has had further discussions and the role of Rowing Secretary is now proposed to be made a Management Committee role and so that we are more cohesive with the rowing operation side of the club this is considered required due to the increasing level of rowing membership and that should be represented by a Member of the Management Committee.
As a matter of common courtesy and correctness, before we co-opt a person into this position I therefore ask if anyone who is a current member of the club would therefore wish to consider themselves suitable to volunteer or nominate themselves for this position to contact me (details below) in the next 7days to discuss the matter further.
We do currently have a nominee who is prepared to take on this task but firstly I have to notify the membership of the committee’s intentions.
