Report on 21 mile race 28.6.15 by Ray Clayton
Course No. 1 was selected by the officer of the day which went out to the Pye End buoy , round Outer Ridge and Stone banks in a clockwise direction , finishing at Wrabness as usual.
In a moderate SW breeze 8 yachts started and the pack was fairly close together most of the way down the Stour. At Harwich it was wind against tide and very choppy until outside the harbour. On the return leg the wind fell light which impacted on the slower yachts but all in all it was a fine sail, testing both yachts and crew.
