Regatta ‘Have a Go’ at Rowing a Harker’s Yard Gig
Have you ever wanted to have a go at Gig rowing but have not yet got round to it?
You are welcome to come and try rowing in our Club Harker’s Yard Gigs at any time during the year, and you can find more information about rowing with Stour Sailing Club here
However, as part of Regatta 2024 there will be opportunities to ‘Have a Go’ at Gig racing on the afternoons of both Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th August. The sessions will be weather dependent and are open to adults over the age of 18 (there is no upper age limit).
We will take two first time rowers out at a time as part of a crew with two experienced rowers and a Cox and you will get to see our lovely estuary from a whole new angle. The only danger is that you might well find yourself wanting to come back for more!
