Following outstanding events last weekend organised by the Manningtree Mermaids with the beach party extravaganza this weekend also see’s activity on the beach and within our marquee but on a slightly different scale.
Sunday will see a reinstatement of our visiting club’s day where all other sailing organisations along the Stour, Harwich Town and Shotley will race and visit Manningtree where we shall be hosts for a brief period for food and refreshment on the turning of the tide before they commence their return journey back to their respective clubs. Members also invited and to assist in the visit with the Bar and BBQ etc and be hosts to our visitors and demonstrate what a sociable bunch we are at this end of the river, and of course there is the clean up afterwards where many hands make light work.

Next weekend Manningtree braces itself for the Earth festival, and some say there’s nothing happening in our little town.
